An Electronic Logging Device (ELD) is a device mandated by the FMCSA that automatically records a driver’s electronic HOS and other electronic logs data. ELD devices help ensure compliance with electronic logbook regulations, prevent driver fatigue, and improve road safety. If you operate a commercial motor vehicle, you are required by law to use an ELD device for trucks to track your driving hours.
